We believe nobody should be put off university simply because they don’t have the straight facts. That’s why we provide a range of student finance resources designed to show the real cost of studying at university. Meaning young people have the accurate information they need to decide whether university really is worth it for them.

Brightside’s student calculator is a free interactive online budgeting tool which helps students manage their money at university. Students can:
- Discover the loans and grants available
- Work out their income and expenditure to build a budget for their time at university
- Read budgeting tips and student profiles for advice on how far their money can stretch
