Young people from armed service families often find it difficult to stay motivated at school or feel settled enough to think about what they want to achieve and their own future. By communicating with a mentor online, these young people can develop their confidence, raise their aspirations and feel supported and understood.
Brightside is working with Norfolk County Council to support young people from service families currently living in the Norfolk area. We are looking for mentors with armed service experience to take part in this project in October 2016.
Mentee group: 11-16 year olds from armed service families.
Type of mentors required: must have some armed service experience.
Project duration: October 2016 to July 2017.
